Our Mission

Creating a sustainable link between the local and artistic communities of Waltham Forest through public art, affordable studio space and free workshops.

Our Goals

  • To make art accessible for the residents of and visitors to Waltham Forest through the erection and installation of outdoor public art.

  • To establish a new creative hub for the area: Wood Street Studios, by repurposing a disused and derelict building.

  • To provide free workshops to the local community lead by our resident artists in return for affordable rent.

What We Do

  • Founded by Mark Clack and Tom Jackson September 2014

  • 6 core members - including artists Static (www.welikestatic.com) and ATMA (www.atma-art.com)

  • Ever growing network of volunteers and affiliates

  • Supported by local businesses - Stow Brothers, The Blitz Factory and Matthew Eyles Architects

  • Backed by Wood Street Ward funding with letters of support from Cllr Clare Coghill & Stella Creasy MP

  • 14 murals completed since launch (one still needs a home)

  • 11 commission walls

  • 4,500 Twitter followers & counting

  • 80+ items of media coverage
