Our Trustee board helps shape the direction of our organisation in our quest to provide, increase and support affordable artist workspace for creatives and future strategy.

Suzanne Lemon

Suzanne Lemon has been an art director at The Guardian for almost 10 years. She designs newspaper supplements, including the magazine Cook, as well as overseeing photo shoots and commissioning illustrators. She has over 17 years experience in the design industry including many years freelancing at London's top design agencies. She is an Irish mum of three who lives in Walthamstow and loves cycling.

Elizabeth Reynolds

Liz Reynolds is a Chartered Urban Planner and Director of Urben, an east London studio focused on planning, design and problem solving for urban environments. Over the past 15 years Liz has worked in multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure and regeneration projects including the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Crossrail. Originally from Melbourne, Liz loves exploring the street art and architecture in new cities. She is currently writing a book titled Underground Urbanism about the overlooked but important places beneath our cities.

Helen Couchman

Helen Couchman moved to London in 1991, where she completed a BA in Fine Art at Sir John Cass (1996) and an MA in Critical Fine Art Practice at Central St Martins (1998). She was more recently invited to pursue a period of post graduate research at Chelsea.

Couchman has exhibited widely, both in the United Kingdom and internationally, often producing new bodies of work during residencies. Amongst these are Cyprus (2003), Vermont (2005), China (2006) and Taiwan (2016).

Moving to live in Beijing in early 2007, Couchman published her first book, WORKERS 工人, in June 2008. Portraits from the series have been exhibited in London (2008), Hong Kong (2008) and Beijing (2012). Couchman’s second book, Mrs West’s Hats, was published at the end of 2009 and her third book, Omani Women نساء عمانيات. was published in late 2015.

Couchman’s solo exhibitions also include Mrs West’s Hats, Yerevan, Armenia (2004) Gift, Beijing (2006) and There was no single reason for me to be there at first, London (1999). She had an exhibition of the series Omani Women نساء عمانيات at Gallery Sarah, Bait Al Zubair Museum, Muscat, Oman in late 2015. The artist has contributed to a number of group exhibitions, including The Artful Scriptorium, New York, (2010), There and Everywhere, London (2009), China in Motion, London (2008), Solutions for a Modern City, Hong Kong (2008), Future Landscapes, Shrewsbury, UK (2005), Uncommon Ground, Sway, UK (2004), Sodium Blindness, London (2000), find(found), London (1997), Contemporary Chinoiserie, London (2008) and most recently Epoch (2017) a retrospective exhibition of her Beijing work at CFCCA, the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Art in Manchester.

Sam Rhodes

With over 10 years’ experience leading commercial art galleries, Sam’s chief field of expertise is selling and curating within the contemporary, modern and urban art markets.

Through his role, Sam manages the central London gallery and his team day-to-day, overseeing the placement and advisory of artworks with private clients as well as corporate clients and museum/public collections. Sam runs the curation of gallery’s entire exhibition programme, managing the gallery’s represented artists and their interests, as well as closely collaborating with guest artists on external projects and publications.

Sam has curated and directed exhibitions widely in the UK as well as Basel, Switzerland and Miami, New York and LA, USA. Additionally, he’s advised and collaborated on further projects in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, France, Italy and Spain.

Sam has extensive knowledge and expertise dealing art in both primary and secondary markets and well as the editions market.
Sam has a 1st class honours degree in art history and was awarded a commendation for his research dissertation. Aside from his gallery dealings he’s regularly involved in panel talks and has guest spoken on the artists he represents through the gallery. He’s previously guest-lectured on London galleries as well as wider topics involved within the art market.

Manisha Ferdinand

Manisha is a Senior PR Executive, currently overseeing UK PR team for Amazon Prime Video & Amazon Music
• Creation and delivery of strategic comms vision for Prime Video and Amazon Music
• Leading team delivering publicity campaigns for all shows, including All or Nothing: Manchester City, US Open, Jack Ryan, The Grand Tour, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Premier League, Good Omens

Manisha is a board member of the Almeida Theatre, and The Space (Digital Arts).

Lorraine Cox

An experienced leader in arts, heritage, and cultural sector with CICs, Charities, and Local government. Strategic and Policy work currently at the Arts Council England; liaising with national stakeholders and government. Specialist skills in the social and commercial management of heritage assets; and the development of innovative arts and events programmes for and with diverse communities.

Skilled in planning and management of resources; coaching and staff development; partnership development across public and private sectors; fundraising and grant management; customer and community relations; Customer Relationship Management (CRM); Event Management, and Media Relations. Strong community development focused professional with PRINCE 2 Practitioner Project Management from Hemsley Fraser.
